Frequently Asked Questions about Eloping in Idaho

Idaho is one of the easiest states to get married in since there’s no requirement for witnesses, and you can get married the same day you get your marriage license. I specialize in helping couples plan adventurous elopements and help take a lot of the stress of planning away by helping with location scouting, scheduling their day, providing a customized packing list, and more. Learn more about eloping with me here!

Most couples spend between $8,000-$15,000 on their elopement, with the majority of their budget going towards a photographer. You can decide to spend as much or as little as you want on your elopement, depending on what kind of experience you want.

Coeur d’Alene, Sandpoint, and Stanley are among the best places to elope in Idaho. The state is filled with all kinds of beautiful scenery, ranging from jagged mountain peaks to lush old-growth forests. North Idaho is especially beautiful! You don’t have to know an exact location before you reach out because I can help you narrow it down. Check out my guide to the best Idaho elopement locations to get started!

All you need to get married in Idaho is an Idaho marriage license and an ordained minister to sign your papers. I’m ordained and can sign your marriage license if you want to keep your day simple. I’ll also walk you through everything you need to get your marriage license. Check out my full guide to eloping in Idaho for more information.

Elopement photographers tend to cost more than traditional wedding photographers because we include a lot of planning and additional services in our packages. My Idaho elopement packages begin at $4,200, with most couples investing $6,800 for a full-day adventure. View Idaho elopement photography packages.

Absolutely! This is an incredibly important day, and for some couples it wouldn’t be complete without their loved ones by their side. I love working with couples that want to bring a handful of their closest relationships with them on their elopement day!

June through September is generally the best time to elope in Idaho, unless you’re looking for a magical winter experience, then January or February will be the best time. July and August are going to be the warmest and driest time of year, however, the shoulder seasons are great because there will be more greenery and less crowds.
