A campground wedding is a fun way to indulge in your nature-loving personalities during your wedding experience! Not only do campgrounds surround you with the beauty of nature, but they’re also usually easy to access.

One of my favorite wedding venues is Farragut State Park because it’s so easy to access and the views are absolutely incredible. But there are all kinds of campgrounds across Idaho you can host your wedding or elopement at, ranging from close to town to rugged landscapes.

Below you’ll find the best campground wedding venues in Idaho, ranging from luxury to rustic, for an outdoorsy wedding close to nature!

Campground Wedding Venues in Idaho

Farragut State Park

Located on Lake Pend Oreille, Farragut State Park is a popular location for weddings because of its natural beauty and easy accessibility. You can host your wedding at the Sunrise Day Use Area or rent one of the park’s group campgrounds for larger, more rustic events.

Location: Athol

Amenities: Toilets, RV campsites, tent camp sites, cabins, and boat docks.

Capacity: Up to 400 people

Fish Creek Group Site

The Fish Creek Group Site is a reservable group campsite located next to the Fish Creek Campground in the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forest. This spot is also sometimes known as “Eagle’s Nest,” “Girl Scout Camp,” and “Fish Creek Dispersed Site.”

Location: Grangeville

Amenities: Vault toilets, picnic tables, and fire rings.

Capacity: Up to 75 people

South Fork Group Site 5

Sitting on the banks of the South Fork of the Clearwater River is South Fork Group Site 5 in the Nez Perce National Forest. Reservable for small groups, this spot is easy to get to and has water access.

Location: Grangeville

Amenities: Picnic tables, fire pits, grill, and vault toilets during the summer season.

Capacity: Up to 25 people

Hills Resort

This lakeside resort provides a camping feel with the luxuries of amenities. At Hills Resort, you’ll find rustic cabins, firepits along the beach, boat ramps, and an on-site restaurant.

Location: Priest Lake

Amenities: Cabins, fire pits, beach access, and dining.

Capacity: Up to 150 people

Elkins Resort

Elkins Resort is another lakeside resort with lodging, dining, and incredible views of the Selkirk Mountains. Here you’ll find the perfect blend of nature and luxury for your wedding!

Location: Nordman

Amenities: Cabins, fire pits, beach access, and dining.

Capacity: Up to 200 people

Alturas Lake Picnic Area

Located in the Sawtooth National Forest, the Alturas Lake Picnic Area is a reservable day-use area. This spot is easy to access, with plenty of epic scenery nearby to explore.

Bonanza CCC Group Campground

The Bonanza CCC Group Campground is a large group campground located along the scenic and historic Yankee Fork drainage. It is surrounded by hot springs, mountain views, and alpine lakes.

Location: Challis

Amenities: Picnic tables, fire pits, vault toilets, and potable water.

Capacity: Up to 70 people

Bull Trout Campground

Located in the Boise National Forest, the Bull Trout Campground is located next to a beautiful mountain lake, lodgepole pine trees, and wildflowers in the summertime. There are several equestrian-friendly sites if you love horses and want to include them in your wedding.

Location: Cascade

Amenities: Horse stall, picnic tables, fire pits, and vault toilets.

Capacity: Up to 50 people

Upper Payette Lake Campground

The smaller, more remote Upper Payette Lake has an easy-to-access group campground. The Upper Payette Lake Campground is surrounded by alpine pines, and you can access the lake from the campground.

Location: McCall

Amenities: Fire pit, picnic tables, grill, vault toilets, and potable water.

Capacity: Up to 30 people

Wander Camp

If you want a glamping experience, you’re going to love Wander Camp Yellowstone! This is the perfect blend of comfort and camping vibes while also being centrally located to mountains, lakes, and even Yellowstone National Park.

Location: Island Park

Amenities: Glamping tents, picnic tables, toilets, benches, fire pits, and food truck catering.

Capacity: Up to 100 people

Lochsa Lodge

Tucked in the mountains of the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forest is the mountain resort, Lochsa Lodge. With historic cabins you can stay in, plenty of gorgeous scenery nearby to explore, this is a perfect place for your rustic, intimate wedding or elopement!

Location: Powell

Amenities: Cabins, restaurant, excursions, such as river rafting.

Capacity: Up to 60 people

Ponderosa State Park

Immerse yourself in the panoramic views at Ponderosa State Park! Here you’ll find easily accessible day-use areas for larger gatherings, and scenic viewpoints for intimate elopements.

Location: McCall

Amenities: Campsites, day-use shelters, toilets, and potable water.

Capacity: Up to 100 people
