Sunset Elopement at Priest Lake, Idaho | Daisy & Calden
My job begins the moment a couple inquires with me about their wedding day. At our first consultation call, I’m already beginning to build a plan and provide guidance on the when, where, and how to elope. The perfect example of this is with Daisy and Calden, who came all the way from Arizona to elope at Priest Lake in North Idaho!
Why They Eloped at Priest Lake, Idaho
When this couple first reached out to me, they were actually thinking about eloping in Yellowstone National Park, believe it or not! Since Yellowstone is a location I specialize in, I knew it wouldn’t be very accessible on their elopement date in the Spring. That area has extreme winter weather, and most of the park is closed down from January through early May.
That’s why I recommended we look at some other options. I asked them more about what type of experience they envisioned and began recommending some other locations that would be accessible in the early Spring. When I heard them say they would love to be surrounded by forests and have lakes, I immediately knew that Priest Lake would be the perfect elopement location for them!
Why They Decided to Elope:
“I am not a “showy” person and have a social fear of crowds so that saves me stress as well as money having an elopement. I also think it makes it more special between us.” ~Daisy
“I want to focus on the two of us creating a true experience between us to remember as opposed to creating a spectacle for everyone else. While we plan on doing something very small for our family to celebrate we want to spend time to commemorate everything we’ve worked so hard towards together” ~ Calden
How I helped Plan Their Priest Lake Elopement
During the planning process, I sent Daisy and Calden some location recommendations. They ended up choosing a fun hiking trail, a secret beach only locals know about, and the most charming local resort to stay at!
After all of the locations were chosen, I set to work putting together a timeline. They knew they wanted to explore the old-growth cedar trees, share vows by the water, and end the day with lantern photos. I put everything together in a timeline that allowed for plenty of time to get from one spot to the next without stressing, and the day ran beautifully!
I also provided some local vendor recommendations for them, including a florist and hair & makeup artist.

Priest Lake Elopement Photographer Review
“Tiana was amazing to work with. Her work is outstanding, better than we ever could hope for. Her artwork truly speaks for itself. Thank you so much for being able to accommodate our needs within our short timeframe. All her suggestions were helpful as well, with recommending an in-town florist, and hair/makeup artist which really helped make things smoother for us. The experience provided will truly be memorable and we recommend her to any couple looking to elope. Thank you for everything!” ~Calden & Daisy
